The best thing ever!

One thing that most Angels have in common is they tend to be picky eaters.  For most of them it is a texture issue.  Some Angels will even vomit if you introduce a new food.  Poor things.  For years the only things K would eat is grilled cheese sandwiches and scrambled eggs.  The las few years she seems to be getting over it and has started to try new things.  We are so happy about it.

My mom got me a bountiful basket and Katie dropped it off today.  It is kind of exciting because you never know what you are going to get.

Today there was 6 ears of fresh corn.  K zeroed in on them right away and wanted to cook them ALL.  So what do I have better to do at 11am??  Nothing!.... so w cooked it.  She thought the smell was good.  She thought the silk was BAD.  I thought we were going to have a melt down when some got stuck to her hand.  Thank goodness she let me help her wash it off.

When it was done I cut all the kernels off added a little butter, salt and pepper.   she has been sitting in the living room eating the kernels one at a time.  Every one she says "mm mm mm!  Good mom!".  Too funny.  It has already taken her 2 hours to eat half a cob.

At this rate I will be a good mom all day.  Lucky me!

Corn on the Cob

Ingredients:
water
1T. sugar
1 t. vinegar
corn
salt
pepper

Put enough water to cover the corn in a pot and add the sugar and vinegar.  While it is heating up to boil husk the corn and was it really well.  Cut off any weird ends.  When the water is boiling put the corn in and let it cook for 9 min.  The corn will get more yellow as it cooks.

Drain off all the water and smother in butter, salt, and pepper.  This was super easy and K Loved it.
