As you know, K is an Amazing cook. She really could have her own show on the food network or a job as a pastry chef right now. It is precious little that interests her so I really have indulged her. Just look at our kitchen remodel.... it was mostly with her in mind.
K can watch you make something once and then she knows how to do it. She seems to have a natural "feel" for what would be good together and I quite often wright down what she does and make changes in my recipes because hers taste better.
The other day I walked into the kitchen and saw this.
My first thought was "Oh sick!". I am pretty sure the green stuff is heated up sugar. We made candy a while ago and it was green.... I really have no idea because I didn't see what she did. Every time I would ask her what it was she would say "Green!" and giggle. .....yes it IS green.
I got a little nervous when she broke out the immersion blender. It was ok because the banana whipped up so fluffy and pretty.
It turned out that she was making muffins. I love watching her because we have no idea if she is right handed or left... at one point she was scooping the batter in with two spoons at the same time. Then she had a little drip on the muffin tin and she almost had a melt down. She really hates when anything is out of place. This must be the funnest part for her because she was getting pretty flappy at the end.
They turned out great! At least that is what Jim told me. I believe him because he ate 3 of them. I couldn't bring myself to eat green muffins. Maybe if i knew what was in the green stuff....
