Last night we went to the Rotary park that is close to our house. We were able to Meet Kalista's Speech therapist in person.
We LOVE Miss Birgit! She is such a good part of our life. We see her on the computer at least once a week and the things she has helped Kalista learn this year are amazing.
Her family is just beautiful. I could tell that she had given them the heads up about us... I bet she said something like "be really quiet and don't make any sudden movements". And that is just what they did even though I could tell the boys wanted to play a bit harder.
Yep, autism can be a little like making friends with a wild animal.
Kalista did good for being the first time she met them. I could tell that she would really get along with the boys if they lived closer.
