Kalista has a 35 gallon fish tank that she LOVES!  It is her job to feed the fish when she wakes up and before (I) go to bed.  Some times I know she wants me to go away because she will ask if it is time to feed the fish.... meaning that I should leave her alone.   She never forgets or has to be reminded.

Every other week we drain off 15 gallons and clean it a little.  That has worked out really well for a couple years.   It has gotten a bit cloudy lately and so we realized that it was time to take the thing completely down and start over with new rock and new fish furniture.

It is an all day task.  One of the first things we had to do was catch all the fish and put them in a different ((little)) tank with air so they will stay healthy.

Kalista was such a good fish mommy.  She kept talking to them telling them "it ok".   Thats what I tell her when she gets scared because something is new.

When we finally got them back in the big tank it was so bright and beautiful.  She kept running by and saying "Oh! Happy now!"  And they are.  It made all the work worth it to see her so happy.
