We spent the day planting 60 fruit trees! Sorry there are no photos... I was manning the shovel not the camera.
Most of the trees are different kinds of peach. There are also granny smith and gala apples and some kind of sweet cherry.
So in a few years we are going to be up to our eyeballs in fruit.
Kalista loved helping with the planting. Her job was to make sure there was plenty of water in the holes and a nice big mud pie at the end of the the rows. she was wonderful at her job!
Glen told me the sweetest thing...
He said that one day he would be gone. (he is in his 70s) and he was planting all these trees so that Kalista could have a business when she was older. She could live in his house (next door to me) and sell all the fruit.
It kind of made me cry that he would even think about her future like that.
We are really lucky to have Grandpa Glen.

That is the sweetest expression of love from a Grandpa to a Granddaughter. She sure is one lucky little girl to have her Grandpa Glen.
We are all lucky to have Grandpa Glen! What a sweet guy. But man, 60 trees, that's quite the business!:)
