Jesus wants me for a sunbeam...

I loved that song when I was a little kid.  I always would pick it when I got to decide what to sing in sunday school.

So I thought it would be cool to teach Kalista how to sing it in sign language.  She picked it up really fast and seemed to love it as much as I do because she wanted to sing it and sing it.  It was so fun and made us giggle all day.

The way you sign "Jesus" is to push your middle finger of one hand on to the palm of the other hand and then do that on the other side.  Like showing the nail scars.  The way you sign "sunbeam" is make a circle with your finger and then spread all your fingers out like the rays of the sun.  It actually makes a really pretty song.

So,  When Jim came home I wanted to brag on her and show him how smart she was to learn the song.  So I told Jim to watch and I signed  "Sunbeam".  I ask Kalista what that was, thinking she would start the song.

With out missing a beat she used her words and said  "FIVE!".  Haha...

Yes, that's right, little smarty pants.  It IS five.

Then she laughed like she just told the biggest joke ever.  Jim thought that she was super smart and he never got the joke.
